The woman holds a heap of blank paper on her lap and is surrounded by various black and white cloths with different origins. The work refers to the form and meaning of the Pietà, a religious image of the Virgin Mary holding the lifeless body of Christ on her lap. However, this work does not identify the woman by means of colour since the skin of her head, hands, and feet is transparent.
